Najla (pronounced ‘Nudge-la’) is a bi-cultural, published author of the book ‘The Art of Diversity’. She is a speaker, coach and advocate for quality dementia care.

Najla is the primary carer for her husband, diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s.  Living with dementia has not been easy for either herself or her partner.  As a care partner she has experienced emotional, psychological and complex cultural and relational challenges. Najla felt powerless in the face of what was yet to come.

Today Najla shares her out-of-the-box perspective, reframing dementia. Her lived experience and invaluable insights into changing relationship, person-centred care and enablement can help minimise the risk of carer burnout, cultural stigma and enhance living well with dementia.
